This book is a collection of quotes and stories from women and men ages 18+.

This book is intended to highlight the criticism women face, in relation to society's belief of what a "girl" should be, throughout their lives beginning from girlhood and continuing throughout womanhood. All anonymously submitted, these quotes are not only specific to the person interviewed, but also to other females having heard or experienced the same forms of criticism.

With most text in lowercase and quotes bolded and enlarged, the hush surrounding this topic shines through while still emphasizing the importance of these women's voices.

G(IRL) is meant to represent the specific standards expected of a girl, in real life.
